Merry Christmas

The smell of sugar cookies fills the air.

Bright, colored lights bring cheer.

Everybody grabs a chair.

The family’s all here.

We gather ‘round the table.

We share our folklore.

Our souls open like the doors of a stable.

We tell stories like we never told them before.

Love fills our hearts and souls.

We gather close together.

Our closeness fills many holes.

We’re warm, despite the cold weather.
