Need a Spark

I close my eyes and think.

I need some inspiration.

Into expression, my teeth need to sink.

As I sit here, contemplatin,

Something touches my mind.

Now I’m waitin.

That something caresses my brain.

Running its fingers through my convolutions.

It gets my juices flowin, like the rain.

Suddenly, without warning,

A fire explodes,

Spreading like sunlight in the morning.

My eyelids explode open,

I smile with glee.

I feel a warmth within.

Ah, that spark, that fire.

Gives ya what ya need.

It’ll take you higher.
