Rosa
This woman wouldn’t get up.
She stood up, even when she sat.
She was asserting her rights to sit where
she wanted.
She was tired: tired from work and tired
of all the rules.
This woman was strong; she wasn’t weak.
She wanted to show the rest of us that we
won’t be pushed around.
She was in the black section anyway.
Why make her move?
Why?
Thank you Ms. Parks.
We’ll miss you.
