Thank you Dr. King, for what you’ve done.

You gave us freedom, in many ways.

Freedom to be at the counter.

Freedom to share spaces with others.

Freedom to be where we’re not wanted.

You stood up in the face of hate.

You grabbed it with your words.

You grabbed it with your heart, and your peace.

You stood up even when they knocked you down.

You had power.

You had grace.

We’ll miss you greatly.
